The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September stood at 122.8, the twelfth consecutive month with an increase. During these months, prices increased the most in September with 3.5%. The CPI increased by 0.3% compared to August 2021. The pandemic had caused the CPI to go down from April to September 2020, reaching below 2019 levels thus we saw lower prices.
Year-over-year the groups with the highest price increases in September were transportation with 8%, food & beverage with 4%, entertainment by 2.5%, education & communication with 2.4% and other articles and services with 1.5%.
