According to the latest data published by Puerto Rico’s Institute of Statistics, imports for March 2022 totaled $5.2 billion. This shows a $1.4 billion or 38.4% increment compared to imports viewed in February 2022. When compared to March 2021 imports, figures for March 2022 portray an increment of $789 million or 17.9%.
As for exports, a total of $5.4 billion were reported for March 2022. When compared to the previous month, exports decreased by $327 million or 5.7%. However, in contrast to March 2021, said exports represent an increment of $211 million or 4.0%.
